FANUC America, the leading supplier of robotics, CNC and factory automation will demonstrate an interactive education cart cell featuring its CR-4iA collaborative robot at Automobili-D during preview week at the 2018 NAIAS.
Featuring power and force limiting technology, Yaskawa Motoman’s new six-axis HC10 collaborative robot works safely with, or in close proximity to humans by stopping the robot in the event of contact with an operator. Dual torque sensors in all joints constantly monitor force to quickly react to contact; something typically only found in more expensive systems. It is designed to eliminate operator pinch points while through-arm utilities hide cabling and increase safety by reducing the risks of snagging or interference with other equipment.
KUKA makes industrial robots for factory automation. Flex makes, well, lots of things, providing its services around the globe and offering customers sketch to scale™ capabilities – going from an idea or design, to engineering and manufacturing, through full-scale production and distribution of product. Its tagline is “Live Smarter” and its goal is to create a smarter more connected world. KUKA supplies the robotics for one of Flex’s European sites where the production line of the industrial internet is taking shape.
Human/robot collaboration requires intelligent and safe grippers. In technology studies, SCHUNK shows what is important for HRC-capable actuators, which minimum standards must be fulfilled and what is already possible today. And what is more: with the SCHUNK Co-act Gripper JL1, the gripping technology specialist sets a new benchmark for HRC grippers of the future.
