Industry 4.0 holds great potential for increasing productivity through new forms of collaboration between customers and system suppliers – especially through connected, predictive maintenance services. For example, TRUMPF increased the capacity of its laser welding lines by helping to reduce downtime at Daimler, and optimized its internal operating processes at the same time.
Six meters: the length of a delivery van – or an adult alligator. Or a sheet that the TruLaser 3060 fiber can cut. This new oversize format machine from the TRUMPF 3000 series can process sheets as large as 6 x 2.5 meters. This means that users of the TruLaser 3060 fiber can acquire more orders for particularly large workpieces. Alternatively, the large working range enables sequential automated handling of four medium-format sheets – even if they differ in thicknesses and material.
With TruConnect, at the Euroblech 2016, TRUMPF is showcasing innovative solutions on the way to Industry 4.0 in the field of sheet metal processing. The concept for networked production links machines, people and information – for example, via the new data output interface Central Link. At the TRUMPF booth, TruConnect is omnipresent: the machines are equipped with smart features, and consulting and software offerings are a recurrent theme throughout.
