ELRIG Meeting at Festo: Robotics & Automation 2018

The laboratory of the future opens up previously unforeseeable new opportunities: higher throughput rates, precisely controlled automation processes, and more intelligent collection and analysis of information. Festo is the host of this year’s ELRIG Meeting, Robotics & Automation, on 28 February 2018.

The focus will be on intelligent laboratory automation solutions of the future with the aim of successful research into medicines. Listen and talk to international experts in the fields of Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, automated decision-making, cloud processing and big data.

Discuss new opportunities for automating laboratories with the exhibitors.

What you can expect

Reputable speakers from science and industry will present their solution concepts. Besides the presentations, you will have the opportunity to talk with the exhibitors. Find out about the programme here.

BionicCobot – collaborative robot

The BionicCobot is based on the human arm not only in terms of its anatomical construction. Like its biological role model, the pneumatic lightweight robot solves many of its tasks with the help of flexible and sensitive movements. Due to this flexibility, it can work directly and safely together with humans.

Automated sample preparation

The focus is on handling liquids and samples, such as feeding in and identifying sample containers, opening and closing sample containers, and feeding in liquids and solids. Both electrical and pneumatic drives are used.
