One of DesignSpark Mechanical’s biggest benefits is that it employs a powerful design methodology called ‘direct modelling’ which is different from traditional feature- or parametric-based 3D CAD software. The tool uses simple gestures that enable real-time editing and instant feedback, making it possible for designers to easily create geometries and explore product concepts in 3D. All basic designs can be achieved quickly and easily via four basic tools – Pull, Move, Fill and Combine.

With premium add-on modules like Exchange, designers can easily work with STEP & IGES formats. The Drawing add-on provides a complete engineering drawing environment with full Geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
