The High Speed Horizontal Machining Center, Model HS6300 has a maximum work cylinder of 39.37” high x 36.6” diameter. Combined with long axis travels, machining of larger size parts is achieved.
Its rapid traverse and cutting feed rates of 50 meters per minute (1,969 ipm) in all axes reduces both non-cutting, and cutting times to achieve high productivity. The HS6300’s standard 2-step gear-head spindle has 8,000 rpm with 30 horsepower (opt. 35 hp), producing 575 foot pounds of torque (opt. 680 ft lbs), with a built-in 12,000 rpm and 40 hp spindle as an option.
Increased rigidity and stiffness of the spindle is accomplished through the use of angular contact bearings of 3.94 inch diameter. The Fanuc System 31i-A is the standard controller.
The HS6300’s base structure was designed through the use of “Finite Element Analysis” Method, incorporating a rugged single piece cast bed.
It was also designed with a wide and rigid roller guide way system on each axis which helps to improve high speed traverse with low friction.
The ATC system utilizes a cam style design that minimizes the tool changing time.
A 60 tool magazine is standard with 90 or 120 tools available as an option.
There is also a matrix type magazine available for over 120 tools. The rotary arm type APC provides the fastest pallet change time in its class.
The Set-up Station rotates freely with lock positions at 90 degree increments for easy loading and unloading of work.
