Walter at the AMB 2014: innovations and a visibly different highlight

T_Dr_Group_DC150_Perform-Line_whIntelligent tool solutions that set the standards: That’s what the specialists at Walter are always working towards. At the AMB 2014, users may once again marvel at the innovations with which Walter is making life easier for its customers in machining.

One thing may be revealed in advance: Thanks to Walter, drilling is being given a new look. The Tübingen engineers are presenting the definition of a new performance class for drilling.

Alongside it, Walter is showing innovations across its entire product spectrum: The Walter Prototyp TC610/TC611 thread mills promise more performance, more process reliability and up to 40 percent longer tool life. The MC326 and MC726 high-performance mills are a worthy successor to the “Tough Guys” and offer twice the productivity – an increase in tool life of up to 100 percent while the same performance is maintained, or up to 50 percent higher cutting speeds in comparison to standard products on the market. Representing the new product line “Walter Supreme”, four truly high-performance tools.

For grooving and parting off, process reliability has top priority: Grooving blades and internally cooled toolholders for the new, single-edged Walter Cut SX grooving system are now available in two additional dimensions and designs. The DC150 drill family enriches Walter’s drilling range with a new product line supported on three major pillars: “Walter Perform” stands for precision, process reliability and cost efficiency.
