The emphasis in many processes is placed on a significant improvement in surface quality. Our machine concept of the BD series is used in an extremely wide range of applications. The machines are used for machining high-precision components, precision-cut and laser-cut parts as well as workpieces with significant stamping burrs. The machines have an individual configuration according to customers’ requirements. It is possible to equip the machines with between one machining station and at maximum four machining stations.
At the same time, each planetary head has two separately controllable drives which permit an optimum transmission ratio. The five brush heads for each machining station are specified according to the customer’s required finished part quality. Every individual system can be supplied with a turning station for machining both sides. As a means of significantly increasing the output quantity, it is possible to arrange two machines in series and to position a turning station in between them.
All process-relevant parameters are programmed using a Siemens touchpanel, archived and visualised in the on-going process. Tool wear is compensated on the basis of power consumption and monitoring of drive motors. This ensures a consistently high finished part quality. It is possible to respond to the smallest deviations by means of a feed accuracy of 0.01 mm. Peter Wolters linear finishing systems are used as stand-alone machines or as semi and fully automated solutions. The modular concept means that different versions can be adapted to the requirements of specific customers.
